Would appreciate any thoughts/insight on using Digital Delay in the loop without the noise floor increasing.The Flash is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The fact than the BED works fine without increasing the noise level makes this more perplexing to me.Īnyone have thoughts on why this would be? I know the TC is capbable of balanced lines, but not sure if the Fender can handle that - I think bad things could happen if it isn't designed for it and the user manual makes no mention other than 'effects loop is designed for pedals.' Not terribly helpful. This is just surprising to me as both digital delays are higher quality / not cheap.

Now if I plug a digital delay into the loop, such as Free The Tone Future Factory or TC Electronic D-Two delay, the noise floor increases significantly - please note I am not hearing a ground loop, I am distinctly hearing an increase in the noise floor of the amp. When I plug in my Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe to the loop, it is mostly dead quiet, about as quiet as the amp is with nothing plugged into the loop. I think the amp came from the factory like this. I have a Bassbreaker 15 (with greenback) with the official fender fix (plastic input jack) which presumably eliminates a ground loop/hum that existed at some point in the line.
